Welcome to the Universal American High School
As part of the Universal American School system the high school strives to teach young people to be responsible, productive, and ethical citizens with skills to reason critically, communicate effectively, learn continuously, and solve problems and make decisions creatively in a culturally diverse and technologically advanced world community.
It is the school's goal that all graduates will be prepared for ongoing success in rigorous academic environments and challenging workplaces. The high school offers a college prep curriculum with numerous Advanced Placement courses in science, social studies, mathematics, and English enabling inspired young people to become leaders in the field of their choice.
In addition, UAS empowers all of its students to understand, appreciate, and respect Arab language, culture, and religion.
To accomplish these high goals the high school staff provides effective, demanding, stimulating and caring instruction and expects all students to be focused and self motivated.
The high school also believes diversity of its student body is itself a source of strength which is respected and celebrated. At UAS everyone strives to work together in an atmosphere of tolerance and respect for individual differences. Human rights are supported so all students experience a safe and supportive learning environment.
School staff members are partners with parents in the education of their children. Achievement progress reports are provided frequently, parent teacher conferences are scheduled twice each year and additional meetings with teachers and administrators are scheduled upon request.
