Intervention

At the UAS Elementary School, we want all children to be academically successful.  At each grade level, the school provides an intervention specialist that is able to provide services to those students needing a little extra help in English as a Second Language, as well as those that may have some learning differences.  Students that are found to meet the criteria in either area are seen by their grade level intervention specialist several times a week in a push in (going into the classroom) or pull out (providing one on one or small group instruction out of the classroom) setting.  Teachers recommend students through the Child Study Team which tries to meet annually with the parents of these students.  As always, our goal at UAS is to ensure that your child is successful in the classroom.
