High School Counseling Office
The High School Counseling Office is an integral part of a student’s education and is a shared responsibility of the entire High School staff. Together, teachers and counselors assist students in learning development and decision making during their high school years.
Counselors help students develop parent-approved learning plans with individual goals. They also help students develop a four-year graduation plan that includes career investigation, course selection and college searches.
In addition, the counselors conduct school orientation programs for new students, administer and interpret standardized tests – including the PSAT, SAT and TOEFL – and meet with students individually regarding academic, social and behavior concerns.
The highly-trained counselors, with advanced university degrees, are available to students and parents. An appointment can be arranged by contacting the High School at extension 500 or 501.
