AP English Hosts Harvard and Berkeley Valedictorians
Sarah and Firas Abu Shaar spoke to the AP Language and Composition class on Thursday, November 23. Sarah was Harvard valedictorian in 2014, and Firas was Berkeley Valedictorian in 2017. Student had analyzed Sarah’s speech earlier in the year, and they were delighted to meet her in person. The brother and sister both inspired the class with the message that everyone has their own unique story, and everyone can change the world in some small way. Both are entrepreneurs and heavily involved with social issues. Sarah was also an intern in the White House under the Obama administration.
