Nursery Counseling Program

The KG Counselor is a support system for students, teachers, parents and administration, and serves as a liaison to develop the best educational experience for each child. A main goal of the KG Counselor is to help children adapt to the school setting and develop a love for lifelong learning. It is believed that a good KG experience lays an important educational foundation for each child to be a successful student throughout their school careers.

KG counseling services address personal, social and academic needs of the child through developmentally appropriate activities. This may be done in a variety of ways, to include individual, small group, classroom, family, parenting tips, observation, feedback, consultation and referral.

In the early childhood setting, students are helped to identify and express their feelings appropriately. This is fundamental in beginning conflict resolution skills and developing positive peer interactions. As children progress through KG, they develop self-confidence and a growing independence which will assist them in academic achievement.
