KG Intervention Services

It is sometime necessary to provide extra support for academic and/ or social issues. The Interventionist works with the classroom teacher to identify those students who may need more intense intervention to help them attain grade level expectations and/ or appropriate social skills. The Interventionist coordinates team meetings to plan the best program and delivery to meet the child's needs. As necessary, the intervention specialist is consulted and may also provide further services. The parent is an important part of the team as we attempt to maintain consistent expectations between home and school. The Interventionist always has the best interests of the child at heart, and will make referrals as needed.
