Counseling Services

The mission of the UAS Counseling Program is to help develop academic excellence and career and personal/social development for all students to assist them in becoming productive citizens and lifelong learners.

Curriculum Development

The focus of curriculum development is to create quality professional development opportunities for teachers. Curriculum Coordinators are available to help facilitate and collaborate with administrators and teachers.

During a school year, Coordinators will develop curriculum and evaluate textbooks and software programs used at UAS. Each year specific content area standards are compared to United States National Standards and International Standards and are reviewed and updated accordingly.

Based on the needs of teachers, coordinators create and help tailor instructional materials, support with implementation of new materials in the classroom, and mentor or train educators. Coordinators also partner alongside teachers as instructional coaches to help increase student achievement.

We provide our students with Transportation services throughout the Academic year.  Students from Kindergarten up to Grade 12 can take advantage of transportation services provided by UAS. Every effort is made to provide our students with a safe, clean, and hostile free environment on every bus at UAS. Our drivers are reliable and ensure your child’s safety on and off the bus. We provide our students with proper safety requirements such as seatbelts, computer tracking, and camera monitors which are found on all buses.

Transportation Safety Rules and Regulations:

Uniform Store

The UAS dress code is based on the premise that all students attending our school are of equal importance and worth.  Therefore, the School makes no distinction between students of different nationalities, cultures or socio-economic status. The UAS dress code seeks to place into practice the values of the worth and dignity of the individual as part of the larger student body.

Students are to be in full UAS uniform each day, unless otherwise notified.  The Student ID, for Grades 4 through 12, is part of their uniform and they are required to wear it at all times.

Shirts, slacks, sweaters, vests, P.E. clothes, as well as socks, belts, and lunch bags are available for purchase from the Uniform Store.

The UAS Uniform Store is located in the Basement and is open each day during school hours.

We at UAS believe that a healthy student is a happy student and a happy student is an alert student. Our canteen provides our students with the best choices for their lunches. Our menu is based on Ministry of Private Education approved vendors.  The food is inspected daily by our registered medical team to ensure the health of our student body.

Parents are encouraged to provide healthy snacks and lunches for their children, especially if the students are participating in extracurricular activities or after school sports.
