The Great Kindness Challenge is a positive and uplifting program that is dedicated to creating a culture of kindness and compassion on school campuses and in communities worldwide. Using a 50-item checklist, schools and families are challenged to complete as many acts of kindness as possible. The School Edition is an annual one week challenge during the last week of January. The Family Edition is year-round.
On Wednesday, January 29, our elementary students dressed up according to kindness-inspired themes:
- Grade 1– It’s our Job to be kind-dress as the occupation you want to be when you grow up.
- Grade 2-UAS is Powered by kindness-dress like a superhero
- Grade 3– We are Wild about kindness-dress like a wild animal, wear a wild animal shirt, or wear an animal print
- Grade 4-Join Team Kindness (Kindness Counts)-wear any team jersey, a shirt with a number, or a UAS shirt.
Our Elementary school is proudly participating in this proactive and positive kindness initiative for the 4th year running, and no doubt, once again, UAS will be designated as a Kindness Certified School.
